What is Kanya Sumangala Yojana?

The main objective of Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana is to end female foeticide, stop the evil practice of child marriage, promote the health and education of girls, make girls self-reliant, develop positive thinking in the society towards the birth of girls. Kanya Sumangala Yojana has been started from 01/04/2019. 

Which persons can avail the benefit of the scheme?

  • To avail the benefits of this scheme, the person must be a resident of Uttar Pradesh. 
  • The person should have a permanent residence certificate. Such as :- Ration card, Aadhar card, identity card, electricity bill, telephone bill etc.
  • The maximum annual family income of the beneficiary should be Rs 3 lakh. 
  • Only two girl children of a family will get the benefit of the scheme.
  • There should be maximum two children in the family. 
  • If a family has twins in the second delivery, the benefit will be given to a girl as the third child. If a family has a girl child in the first delivery and twin girls are born in the second delivery, then only in such a situation the three girls will be given the benefit.
  • If a family has adopted an orphan girl, then maximum two girls including biological children and legally adopted children of the family will be the beneficiaries of this scheme.

When and how does one receive the scheme money?

Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana is applicable in 6 categories as follows. 

  • First Category: – Newborn girl children born on or after 01/04/2019 will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 2000. 
  • Second Category: – Those girls will be included who have been fully vaccinated within one year and were not born before 01/04/2018, will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 1000.
  • Third Category: – Girls who have taken admission in first class during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 2000.
  • Fourth Category: –  Girls who have taken admission in class VI during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 2000.
  • Fifth Category: –  Girls who have taken admission in 9th class during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 3000.
  • Sixth Category: –  Girls who have passed 10th / 12th class and have taken admission in Bachelor’s Degree or at least two year Diploma program during the current academic session will be benefited with a lump sum amount of Rs. 5000.

How to apply for Kanya Sumangala Yojana?

You can apply for Kanya Sumangala Yojana both online and offline. Initially, applications will be accepted online. Online applications can be filled from Common Service Center, Cyber ​​Cafe or Mobile/Computer and those who cannot apply online can also submit their applications offline in the office of Block Development Officer/Sub-Divisional Magistrate/District Probation Officer/Deputy Chief Probation Officer. Documents required to apply?

  1. Photocopy of bank account passbook. (In the name of mother or father or girl child)
  2. Residence Proof:- Any one of Ration Card, Aadhar Card, Identity Card, Driving License, Passport, Gas Connection Book, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Telephone Bill, or Bank Passbook. 
  3. Photo Identity Card:- Any one of Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Identity Card, Driving License, Passport. 
  4. Self-certification regarding annual income of the family.
  5. Affidavit in prescribed format.
  6. Latest photo of the girl child. 
  7. Latest joint photo of the applicant and the girl. 
  8. Certificate of legal adoption. (etc.)
  9. Affidavit Certificate. 
  10. Birth Certificate. (In First Class)
  11. Admission Certificate. (First Class  to Third Class)
  12. Admission Certificate. (Class VI  to Class IV)
  13. Admission Certificate. (9th class  in 5th division)
  14. Admission fee receipt in Degree/Diploma course. (in sixth class)
  15. 10th/12th Certificate/Mark sheet.  (in sixth grade)
