This scheme was started by the previous government of Rajasthan to connect 1 crore 33 lakh women with Digital India. Under this scheme, women were provided an assistance amount of Rs 6125 to buy smartphones. Although this scheme is currently closed after the assembly elections, but the Information Technology Minister can soon disclose about this scheme in the assembly. Women candidates of both BJP and Congress parties have agreed to this scheme, but no clear information has been officially released about this scheme yet.
Through this scheme, the Congress government had set a target of giving free smartphones to 1 crore 33 lakh women, in the first phase of which the distribution of smartphones was started to give smartphones to 40 lakh women. But due to the implementation of the code of conduct on 9 October, this scheme had to be stopped there and only 25 lakh women were able to get the benefit of this scheme.
